WAZZUP NEEKS :3
as you can see, today i have a green theme :P
idk i feel like this glossy greenish theme fits old google. idk
(also for some reason, I have many readers who are not from America or dont know much about 2000s fashion as I saw in my last post, so I will try to vary these posts now to cater to all of you guys :D big thank u from me and the co-owner liliana for tuning in to our little community!!! ^.^ <3)

Recently I've been trying to revert my laptop to look as old as I can without having to mess around with internal code.
So, as anyone would do, I changed all my app icons, and downloaded some alternate music players and media players, etc etc, and upon opening my laptop, it seems like old macintosh installed on a current mac.
i wanted to take it a step further though... so I booked it 2 google and tried to make it as old looking as i could.
Now, of course, you could try to use a code editor like Stylus to put CSS/HTML into a certain page when you visit it, but well.
Google doesn't like that.
I started with the Google page itself.
It worked for one day with stylus, and the next, the Google icon was back to the new vector form. How can you get around this? Simple--a new tab redirector.
once you install the extension (you can delete it whenever), paste this link (https://oldgoogle.neocities.org/2010/webhp/?hl=en) into the new tab redirect and turn on "always update tab, not redirect" so it doesn't refresh your page each time.
This way, every time you make a new tab, the old google pops up, not the new one :D
Next, I tried to revert my tab theme to the old theme.
This is essentially impossible without messing around with code and things in your computer. So sadly, I haven't been able to do this yet to where it looks exactly like the original.
instead, find themes on the google store. the most popular one (a blue and white one) is the one that I currently use. It is quite nice actually, but it doesnt really evoke the original.
If anybody finds any workarounds that dont involve breaking Macbook or chrome code, pls let me know :D
Finally, go crazy with reversing extensions!!
I have found a ton of extensions to revert websites to their original formats!
Here's a couple:
Old Reddit
Old Twitter
Old YouTube
Old Scratch
(you have to go into settings + pick the old view for studios, homepage, and workspace!)
Old Google Logos + Icons
(when you open your gmail, drive, docs, etc. the icon in the top left will look like the old one :D)
Keep these on the lay-low though, because Google is notorious for nixing extensions that revert things to their old code/icons!
